O People who Believe! Obey Allah and His Noble Messenger, and do not turn away from him after you have heard him speak. 20 And do not be like those who say: 'We hear', though they do not hearken. 21 ۞ Indeed the worst beasts in the sight of Allah are those (people) who are deaf, dumb – who do not have any sense. 22 If God had found any good in them, He would certainly have made them hear; but being as they are, even if He makes them hear, they will turn away in aversion. 23 O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered. 24 And fear an affliction which may not smite those of you in particular who are unjust; and know that Allah is severe in requiting (evil). 25 Remember, when you were few and powerless in the land, afraid of despoliation at the hands of men. But then God sheltered and helped you to strength, and provided for you good things that you may perhaps be grateful. 26 O you who believe, do not be faithless to God and His Apostle, nor violate your trusts knowingly. 27 And know that your possessions and your children are a test, and that with Allah is immense reward. 28
