The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TA SIN MIM. 1 These are verses of the Book that makes (things) clear. 2 Possibly you may risk your life (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) by grieving, because they did not believe. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it. 5 Now they have denied (the Truth); but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used to scoff. 6 Do they not see the earth, and what beneficial kinds of things We have caused to grow in it? 7 Surely, in this there is a sign yet most of them do not believe. 8 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
