When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 and then my breast will be straitened and my tongue will not be free: send, then, [this Thy command] to Aaron. 13 As for me, they hold the charge of a crime against me. I fear they will put me to death." 14 Said He: "Not so, indeed! Go forth, then, both of you, with Our messages: verily, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]! 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 He (Pharaoh) said (to Moses): 'Did We not bring you up when you were a child? And have you not spent years of your life amongst us? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 So I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me of the apostles; 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Firon said: And what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 Said he to those about him, 'Do you not hear?' 25 Musa (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" 26 Said he: Most surely your Apostle who is sent to you is mad. 27 [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason." 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
