O Ye apostles! eat the good things and work righteously; verily of that which ye work I am the Knower. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Think they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We provide them 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 These hasten to good things and they are foremost in (attaining) them. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 [But they will be told] "Cry not in supplication today; for, behold, you shall not be succoured by Us! 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 behaving arrogantly, and making fun, and talking nonsense (about the Book in your nightly chats)." 67 Was it that you did not give any thought to it (the Quran)? Was it different from what was revealed to your fathers? 68 Or do they not recognize their Messenger, and so deny him? 69 Do they say he is mad! No, he came to them with the truth, but most of them hate the truth. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 (Do they disbelieve because) you asked them for payment? The reward that you will receive from your Lord is the best. He is the best Provider. 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 We had seized them with the punishment, but they did not bow before their Lord nor turned to Him in humility, 76 until We open before them a gate of harsh punishment and then they will be dumbfounded. 77
