Those who deny the truth will be told, "God's abhorrence of you is greater than your hatred of yourselves. You were called to the faith but you denied it." 10 They shall say, 'Our Lord, Thou hast caused us to die two deaths and Thou hast given us twice to live; now we confess our sins. Is there any way to go forth?' 11 This has come upon you because when God alone was invoked you disbelieved; but when partners were associated with Him, you believed. But judgement belongs to God, the all-high and supreme. 12 It is He who shows you His signs and sends down to you out of heaven provision; yet none remembers but he who repents. 13 Worship God and be devoted to His religion even though the disbelievers dislike this. 14 Raised high above ranks (or degrees), (He is) the Lord of the Throne (of Authority): by His Command doth He send the Spirit (of inspiration) to any of His servants he pleases, that it may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting,- 15 The Day whereon they will (all) come forth: not a single thing concerning them is hidden from Allah. Whose will be the dominion that Day?" That of Allah, the One the Irresistible! 16 Every soul will be recompensed for its deeds on this Day. There will be no injustice. Certainly God's reckoning is swift. 17 Warn them of the coming day inevitable, when hearts would jump to the throats, filling them with anguish. The sinners will have neither friend nor intercessor whose (word) will be heeded. 18 [for] He is aware of the [most] stealthy glance, and of all that the hearts conceal. 19 God decides with justice. But those they call apart from Him can not adjudge in the least. Verily God is all-hearing, all-perceiving. 20
