The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
