And those who disbelieve say: What! when we have become dust and our fathers (too), shall we certainly be brought forth? 67 Assuredly we have been promised this aforetime, we and our fathers. Naught is this but fables of the ancients. 68 Say, "Travel through the land and see how terrible was the end of the criminal ones". 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 There is nothing that is hidden - be it in the heaven or the earth - but is recorded in a Clear Book. 75 Indeed this Qur’an narrates to the Descendants of Israel most of the matters in which they differ. 76 certainly it is guidance and a blessing for the believers. 77 Indeed your Lord judges between them with His command; and He is the Almighty, the All Knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Verily thou canst not make the dead hear, nor canst thou make the deaf hear the call when they flee turning their backs. 80 You cannot guide the straying blind ones. You can only make hear those who believe in Our revelations submissively. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
