The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 by a burning fire 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 in sublime almightiness enthroned, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
