By the moon, 32 by the retreating night, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning unto humankind 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 about the guilty ones: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
