The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 to be followed by further [convulsions], 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 and gathered his people together 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
