Exalted is He who put constellations in the heavens, a radiant lamp and an illuminating moon -- 61 And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks. 62 For, [true] servants of the Most Gracious are [only] they who walk gently on earth, and who, whenever the foolish address them, reply with [words of] peace; 63 who pass the night prostrate to their Lord and standing; 64 And who say: Our Lord! Avert from us the doom of hell; lo! the doom thereof is anguish; 65 "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in"; 66 and who, whenever they spend on others, are neither wasteful nor niggardly but [remember that] there is always a just mean between those [two extremes]; 67 who do not worship idols besides God, nor without a just cause murder a soul to whom God has granted amnesty, who do not commit fornication, for those who do so have committed a sin 68 The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; 69 But only those who repent and believe and act righteously will have their sins replaced by virtue; God is All-forgiving and All-merciful. 70 And whosoever repenteth and worketh righteously, then verily he repenteth toward Allah with a true repentance. 71 And those who do not give false evidence, and if they come across unbecoming talk ignore it and pass by in a sedate way; 72 And those who, when they are reminded of the revelations of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat. 73 who say, "Lord, grant us joy in our wives and children and make us a model for the righteous." 74 These are the ones who will be rewarded with lofty mansions in Paradise, for their steadfastness. They will be received therein with greetings of welcome and salutations of peace. 75 There they shall live for ever; a fine dwelling place, and residence. 76 O Muhammad, tell the people, "MyLord does not care at all if you do not invoke Him. Now that you have denied (His Revelation), you will soon be awarded such a punishment which you will never be able to avoid." 77
