Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Harun, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 And share my task, 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses! 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 So go forth, both you and your brother, with My Signs, and do not slacken in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
