The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 These are the verses of the illustrious Book. 2 You may perhaps wear out your heart because they do not come to belief. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 But there comes not to them a newly-revealed Message from (Allah) Most Gracious, but they turn away therefrom. 5 They have called (our revelation) lies. They will soon learn the consequences of what they mocked. 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe. 8 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
