Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER the winds that scatter the dust far and wide, 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And also in your own selves. Behold ye not? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
