And indeed Nooh prayed to Us – so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. 113
