It is He who sends down water from the skies; you drink thereof, and thereof [drink] the plants upon which you pasture your beasts; 10 With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give thought. 11 He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. 12 And what He has multiplied for you in the earth is of various hues; surely, in that there is a sign for a nation who remember. 13 It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful. 14 And He hath cast into the earth firm hills that it quake not with you, and streams and roads that ye may find a way. 15 And also landmarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 So, could one who creates be like one who cannot? Will you not then contemplate? 17 If ye would count up the favours of Allah, never would ye be able to number them: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 God knows what you hide and disclose. 19 And those upon whom they call beside Allah have not created aught, and are themselves created. 20 dead, not alive; and are not aware when they shall be raised. 21
