The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 And by those who float in space, 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And those who govern the event, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26
