The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
