The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
