The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
