And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
