Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
