Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 He abandoned his people 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Then will you not be reminded? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 "There is not one of us who does not have his appointed place," (declare the angels.) 164 we are the rangers, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 So are they being impatient for Our punishment? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
