So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
