No calamity befalls unless God dispenses. He guides the heart of whosoever believes in God; and God has knowledge of everything. 11 And obey Allah and obey the Apostle, but if you turn back, then upon Our Apostle devolves only the clear delivery (of the message). 12 God -- there is no god but He. And in God let the believers put their trust. 13 O ye who believe! verily of your wives and your children there is an enemy unto you; wherefore beware of them. And if ye pardon and pass over and forgive, then verily Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 14 Your possessions and your offspring are nothing but a trial for you. And there awaits a great reward for you with Allah. 15 So fear God as much as you can, and listen and obey, and spend in charity for your own good. He who is saved from his own avarice will be successful. 16 If you set apart for Allah a goodly portion, He will double it for you and forgive you; and Allah is the Multiplier (of rewards), Forbearing, 17 He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the Almighty, the Wise. 18
