The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall teach you (the Quran) and you will not forget it 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears will mind, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
