Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
