The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
