Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the chargers panting, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And raiding at dawn 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
