The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
