The Elephant (Al-Feel)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Disbelievers (Al-Kaaferoon) before Daybreak (Al-Falaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), did you not see how did your Lord deal with the People of the Elephant? 1 Did He not put their scheme into ruin? 2 by sending against them flocks of swallows 3 which smote them with stones of baked clay, 4 so that He made them like straw eaten (by cattle). 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
