Surely, the cautious shall have Gardens of Bliss with their Lord. 34 Shall We treat the Muslims like criminals? 35 What aileth you? How ill ye judge! 36 Or have you a book wherein you read, 37 That ye shall have, through it whatever ye choose? 38 Or have ye Covenants with Us to oath, reaching to the Day of Judgment, (providing) that ye shall have whatever ye shall demand? 39 Ask them (O Muhammad) which of them will vouch for that! 40 Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful. 41 On the day the great calamity befalls, and they are called to bow in homage, they will not be able to do so. 42 Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused). 43 So leave those who deny this Discourse to Me. We shall lead them step by step to (ruin) in a way they will not know. 44 And I bear with them; verily My contrivance is sure. 45 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they are burdened with debt? 46 Or that they possess the hidden, so they are writing it? 47 Be patient thou, then, with thy Lord's judgment, and be thou not like him of the fish, when he cried out while he was in anguish. 48 Had there not overtaken him a blessing from his Lord he would have been cast upon the wilderness, being condemned. 49 Thus did his Lord choose him and make him of the Company of the Righteous. 50 Hence, [be patient,] even though they who are bent on denying the truth would all but kill thee with their eyes whenever they hear this reminder, and [though] they say: "[As for Muhammad,] behold, most surely he is a madman!" 51 although this is nothing but an Exhortation (to goodness) for everyone in the world. 52
