The Thamud rejected the warnings, 23 And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness. 24 Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar." 25 'They shall surely know tomorrow who is the impudent liar. 26 Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient. 27 “And inform them that the water is to be shared between them; only those may come whose turn it is.” 28 Then they called their comrade, and he took in hand, and hamstrung her. 29 Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings? 30 Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen. 31 And assuredly We have made the Qur'an easy for admonition: is there then any one who would be admonished. 32 LOT'S PEOPLE [too] gave the lie to all [Our] warnings: 33 Lo! We sent a storm of stones upon them (all) save the family of Lot, whom We rescued in the last watch of the night, 34 as a favour from Us. Thus do We reward those who give thanks. 35 And he [Lout (Lot)] indeed had warned them of Our Grasp, but they did doubt the warnings! 36 And certainly they endeavored to turn him from his guests, but We blinded their eyes; so taste My chastisement and My warning. 37 and early in the morning the punishment decreed overtook them -- 38 'Taste now My chastisement and My warnings!' 39 And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? 40

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
