The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning hours 1 and by the night when it covers the world with peace: 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
