Nay, and by the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 a warning to mortal man 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 From the guilty. 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
