The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 And indeed, in time will thy Sustainer grant thee [what thy heart desires,] and thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
