۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 "There is a small group of people 54 They are always harassing us. 55 And most surely we are a vigilant multitude. 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 And from treasures and nice houses. 58 Even so. And We gave them as a heritage to the children of Israel. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 We also brought the other party close to the same spot, 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
