S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
SAD. I CALL to witness the admonishing Qur'an. 1 Nay, but those who disbelieve are in false pride and schism. 2 How many a generation We destroyed before them, and they cried out when it was no longer the time for escape! 3 Now these [people] deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst - and [so] the deniers of the truth are saying: "A [mere] spellbinder is he, a liar! 4 Does he claim that all the deities are [but] one God? Verily, a most strange thing is this!" 5 Their leaders departed, saying, "Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy. 6 We have not heard this in the religious community close to our time. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 Has the message been revealed to him out of [all of] us?" Rather, they are in doubt about My message. Rather, they have not yet tasted My punishment. 8 Or have they the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord,- the Exalted in Power, the Grantor of Bounties without measure? 9 Is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for them? So would they not just ascend using ropes? 10 (As they denied Allah's Message) they will be a defeated host like the confederates of the old times (who were defeated). 11 The people of Noah, Ad and the dominating Pharaoh had rejected Our revelations. 12 and Thamood, and the people of Lot, and the men of the Thicket - those were the parties; 13 Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). 14
