Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks, “When will be the Day of Resurrection?” 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
