They ask you about revelation. Say, revelation is by the command of your Lord, and that you have been given but little knowledge. 85 If it were Our Will, We could take away that which We have sent thee by inspiration: then wouldst thou find none to plead thy affair in that matter as against Us,- 86 Except [We have left it with you] as a mercy from your Lord. Indeed, His favor upon you has ever been great. 87 Say: Verily, though mankind and the jinn should assemble to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof though they were helpers one of another. 88 For, indeed, many facets have We given in this Qur'an to every kind of lesson [designed] for [the benefit of] mankind! However, most men are unwilling to accept anything but blasphemy 89 They declare, "We will never believe in you until you cause a spring to flow for us from the earth; 90 “Or you have a garden of date-palms and grapes, and you make gushing rivers to flow in it.” 91 or, until you cause the sky to fall upon us in pieces, as you have claimed, or, as a surety bring Allah with the angels in front; 92 "Or you have a house of adornable materials (like silver and pure gold, etc.), or you ascend up into the sky, and even then we will put no faith in your ascension until you bring down for us a Book that we would read." Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Glorified (and Exalted) be my Lord (Allah) above all that evil they (polytheists) associate with Him! Am I anything but a man, sent as a Messenger?" 93
