Abraham was, certainly, an obedient and upright person. He was not a pagan. 120 [He was] grateful for His favors. Allah chose him and guided him to a straight path. 121 And We gave him goodness in this world; and indeed in the Hereafter he is worthy of proximity. 122 And then We sent you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) the divine revelation that, “Follow the religion of Ibrahim, who was free from all falsehood; and was not a polytheist.” 123 The Sabbath was made obligatory only upon those who differed in it; and indeed your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning the matter in which they differed. 124 (O Prophet), call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and reason with them in the best manner possible. Surely your Lord knows best who has strayed away from His path, and He also knows well those who are guided to the Right Way. 125 If you punish, let your punishment be proportionate to the punishment you received. But if you are patient, it is better for the patient. 126 Endure with patience, for your endurance is not without the help of God. Do not grieve for them, and do not be distressed by their plots. 127 Surely God is with those who are godfearing, and those who are good-doers. 128
