The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
