Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
