1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Muster those who did evil, their wives, and that they were serving, 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 'But what is the matter with you that you cannot help one another?,'" 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 They were those who, when it was said to them, "There is no god but God," behaved with insolence, 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 Nay, but he [whom you call a mad poet] has brought the truth; and he confirms the truth of [what the earlier of God's] message-bearers [have taught]. 37 Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doom - 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 white, sparkling (wine), a delight to the drinkers. 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 One of them speaks thus: "Behold, I had [on earth] a close companion 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 Are we not then to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is that the better entertainment or the Tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 They found their father going astray 69 So they in their footsteps are rushing. 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Other than the chosen creatures of God. 74
