Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
60 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf) before Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER the winds that scatter the dust far and wide, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness; 3 and distributing the command of God at His behest! 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And indeed, the recompense is to occur. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
