The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Allah's commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 1 He sendeth down the angels with the Spirit of His command unto whom He will of His bondmen, (saying): Warn mankind that there is no Allah save Me, so keep your duty unto Me. 2 He has created the heavens and the earth for just ends: Far is He above having the partners they ascribe to Him! 3 He created man from a sperm-drop; then at once, he is a clear adversary. 4 And the cattle He created for you. In them, you have warmth and other uses, and of them you eat. 5 And there is beauty in them for you when you drive them back (to home), and when you send them forth (to pasture). 6 And they bear your loads for you unto a land ye could not reach save with great trouble to yourselves. Lo! your Lord is Full of Pity, Merciful. 7 And (He made) horses and mules and asses that you might ride upon them and as an ornament; and He creates what you do not know. 8 God's it is to show the way; and some do swerve from it. If He willed, He would have guided you all together. 9
