We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We delivered them and their people from (their) Great Calamity; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
