The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 pay their religious tax 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 as well as a tree that issues from [the lands adjoining] Mount Sinai, yielding oil and relish for all to eat. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
