And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 So the scream overcame them at morning. 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 As to what they did. 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
