▼ 9 Repentance
At-Tawba 16 of 16
Believers! Fight against the unbelievers who live around you; and let them find in you sternness. Know that Allah is with the God-fearing. 123 And whenever a chapter is revealed, there are some of them who say: Which of you has it strengthened in faith? Then as for those who believe, it strengthens them in faith and they rejoice. 124 But to those whose hearts are sick, it adds more filth to their hearts and they die as disbelievers. 125 Do they not observe that they are tested once or twice every year? Yet they do not repent, nor do they heed advice! 126 And whenever a surah is revealed, they glance at each other as though saying: "Is anyone watching?" Then they slip away. Allah has turned away their hearts for they are a people who are bereft of understanding. 127 Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) from amongst yourselves (i.e. whom you know well). It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He (Muhammad SAW) is anxious over you (to be rightly guided, to repent to Allah, and beg Him to pardon and forgive your sins, in order that you may enter Paradise and be saved from the punishment of the Hell-fire), for the believers (he SAW is) full of pity, kind, and merciful. 128 Therefore, if they turn away, say: 'Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god except He. In Him I have put my trust. He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne' 129
True are the words of God the Almighty.
